OOAK doll Silvie is inspired by an illustration of @silviecrystal . The original illustration is titled Romance/Forgotten.
Steampunk is one of my favorite themes for a long time. When I saw @silviecrystal ‘s #silviecrystal15k#drawthisinyourstyle challenge, I fell in love with this character so much. I thought I would definitely create this character in metal.... and I did!
It took so much longer than I expected. There were a lot of problem solving, especially with the mask. I had to figure a way to put her mask on without falling down. There are also a lot of elements for this character, not just from Silvie’s illustration, but my design as well. I ended up give her tattoo on her forehead , and I used Sara’s face. Turn out beautiful!
I love the design on her neck and forearms from original illustration. I also had fun making those leaves and put them on her chest and the mask. They make everything so organic! Silvie’s illustration is so brilliant and creative! Had so much fun creating these elements!
The ball shape sculpture in the photo with the doll is the work I made when I was in the school. It’s a space station. It totally goes well with Silvie. Love the combination of them both.
